How should I go about moving my furniture across the country?

I am from North Carolina and came to Washington to visit my family and somehow landed a great job. I was unemployed before moving and still have bills and rent to pay. I’m now looking for a place to rent in WA and do not want to sell my furniture and belongings in NC if I can help it as most of my furniture is fairly brand new and I would lose a lot of money if I sold them not to mention the time it would take to advertise and sell when I am in another state.
